Warnings: Beware of giant evil pumpkins.

During the day, the gift fairies are busy flitting about, delivering a box to each Outsider! In each box is a costume, presumably to be worn to the Halloween party advertised on posters in every world. Costumes aren't required...but why wouldn't you wear a costume to a Halloween party?

The party itself is fairly humble, as the natives have had to contend with errant pumpkin vines and mischievous ghosts all month. There's a table of actual food, many pumpkin or squash based recipes, and a table for desserts with all manner of pies and pastries, as well as overflowing bowls of candy. There are streamers and simple decorations, and some games such as bobbing for apples... A small hay maze has been set up to one side. A few musicians are playing music - square dance calls included. It's nothing fancy, but it's certainly intended to be a fun break from all the recent strangeness. They'll even be keeping the ghosts out for the duration of the evening!

Until midnight, that is. Then the party will have an unexpected guest...

At midnight, the witching hour begins, and the party will be crashed not only by numerous malicious ghosts, but also by that giant, evil pumpkin, complete with terrifying face, blazing inside, and thorny vine limbs...

Hope you brought your weapons.

Minato's gift box was full of white. And feathers. It turned out to be an angel costume. He's hoping the halo headband will distract a little from the deep, dark shadows under his eyes. Someone's been stressed.

He can be found out and about, snacking on candy and occasionally rescuing people from one of those malicious ghosts.

Summer, dressed in a witch costume (based off a Mismagius, at that), is hanging by the maze with a cup of apple cider. Pichu got a teeny jester hat and neck ruffle, and is having far too much fun going through said maze.

Minako, for her part, received a silky looking red box that has within... a fire sprite costume! Complete with long orange-red gloves and a cute little mask that covers the top half of her face. Not one to be left out of any kind of fun, she will have put it on early and will be running around cheerfully, helping out and spreading candy and holiday cheer.

Minako should be careful she doesn't accidentally run into the slow-moving angel. He's been pushing himself too hard lately, so his reaction time won't cut it if she isn't paying attention...

Enzan opened his box to find a black samurai armor set that had golden trimming on it, complete with ears and a black cape. Clearly it was an Umbreon costume. His Pokemon weren't left either as Eevee got a Persian mask, Pichu a grass skirt and flower crown, and Dratini had fake whiskers and small little wings.

All of them are wandering around, exploring and generally enjoying themselves with the food and sights.

[She is careful! She doesn't quite run into him... she just gets very close to, and then sidesweeps at the last second.]

Minato!!

[She's very excited to see her other-self in the flesh! Even... if he looks like a zombie.]

['Scuse you, he's an angel, not a zombie! An angel with a holstered Evoker, but angels are supposed to be warriors, in some belief systems.

...He does kinda look like one though.]

Ah... Hey. The fairies visit you, too?

[Not with those bags under his eyes! She sees his evoker, and is reminded that she did bring hers, but it's in the bag she's carrying around. Gotta be prepared! Sprites don't usually have guns.]

Yep! It's pretty cute, right?

[He's always been prone to overworking himself. Well, "always" referring to this last year in Iwatodai...]

I thought so! [More cheerful smiling. Dudeself does look pretty good as an angel too. Goes well with the blue hair and grey eyes.]

[She stands on tip-toe to meet his eye level... while he's slouching. Wow, he slouches?]

There's a relatively unenthusiastic flower fairy heading your way, Summer. The only thing Naoto liked about this costume was that the fairies had been kind enough to include a leg holster for her gun.

She inclines her head in greeting as she walks over to Summer. "Evening."

[He's had a lot more of that time in Iwatodai in which to overwork himself, missy.]

...No? [Platforms what- And yeah, he slouches. His hand are almost always in his pockets, too.] You're just short. [One corner of his mouth quirks upward, teasing.]

"Evening to you, too." Summer is pretty happy with her costume. She has her goggles on under the hat, and her styler is on her right wrist as always. It took her some debate to decide against wearing her scarf.

Her Pichu jumps up on top of a maze wall to squeak and wave in greeting.

[She narrows her eyes playfully. So that's how you're gonna play it, huh?]

'Scuse you, I am perfectly sized. You're just too tall.

Suuure you are, shorty. You're as tiny as Yukari.

[Yeah, that is how we're gonna play it. BRB, towering over you as he straightens.]

[Better not be, Mr. noodlearms. She can't help the kawaiifactor. Still she's all hands on hips and perfect posture and teasing glare.]

Hmm... you look better when you don't slouch, even if it makes you even more too tall.

Did I ever say it was? [Darkly teasing. Yeah, dude-you is good at this game. Which was probably indicated when he said Yukari's name without an honorific, but still.]

Akihiko-senpai must be massive if I'm too tall. And he doesn't slouch...no wonder he's always getting swarmed.

Running around then, particularly if in the area of the incoming party, it wouldn't take long for Minako and the brown-haired Red to cross paths. Red didn't go for putting on the costume he received right away, but seeing Minako's in hers caused a curious look to appear on his face. A smile along with it, too.

He lifted up a hand to her in greeting, his other shoved in a pocket. "Hey!"

Red was without company that day, but it might've been possible while in the Idol Springs area to see two familiar yellow and purple-pink shapes seemingly on the prowl elsewhere.

The trainer still had his eye on that a particular sight - the large, overgrown pumpkin that had changed for the... well, creepier, as of late. But he saw Enzan out of the corner of his eye, even dressed up as he were, and he couldn't help but have his attention drawn away from the monstrosity and to Enzan, a grin on his face.

"Hey, you too?" Be more vague, Red. "Looking good there."

[A: Party]

Red could be found at the party, now dressed up in the clothes he had received from the kind faeries. Everyone else (well, mostly everyone, apparently!) had done the same, so why not join in the fun?

He was around the food table or chatting with random people, maybe even getting a dance out of a native or two- certainly, he was not expert, but he was having fun enough and he was laughing more than not.

Approach? Or be around for Red to approach?


[B: Outside the party, around the Idol Springs camp]

The party was fun, but there was some very special company that Red couldn't just forget about or put to the back of his mind for the night.

The camp itself had a few people there, people come from the party or just relaxing by a fire that was usually set up once it got dark. Red was to the side of the camp, and while it might've been a little dark to see him, the light of the tail of a certain presence with him made it likely to spot him (and all the other bundle of strange looking creatures).

You're not likely to creep up on them unexpectedly (these ears are rather alert to any and all sounds), but there won't be any issue if you come up to them. Well, the charizard/orange looking dragon thing might give you a not-so-friendly looking face...

It might've been easy to tell what Red was doing with them though,or if you had seen him walk off from the party table with a selection of foods. What a cheeky guy.

Pichu was the first to bound over the to the trainer and raise her arm up in greeting. The others followed and Enzan spoke up, "How are you enjoying yourself this evening?"

Red bent down to meet Pichu closer to her level, giving her a wave back and a "hey, how're you doing?" in greeting. From his crouched position he looked up to Enzan.

"Good! Everybody looks ready to have a good time, I'm excited. It's been ages since I've seen so many people at once."

With a slight cock of his head he added the question, "Did the clothes turn up on your doorstep today?"

Hey, maybe he always had those fancy ears prepared.
