Halloween!

Warnings: Beware of giant evil pumpkins.

During the day, the gift fairies are busy flitting about, delivering a box to each Outsider! In each box is a costume, presumably to be worn to the Halloween party advertised on posters in every world. Costumes aren't required...but why wouldn't you wear a costume to a Halloween party?

The party itself is fairly humble, as the natives have had to contend with errant pumpkin vines and mischievous ghosts all month. There's a table of actual food, many pumpkin or squash based recipes, and a table for desserts with all manner of pies and pastries, as well as overflowing bowls of candy. There are streamers and simple decorations, and some games such as bobbing for apples... A small hay maze has been set up to one side. A few musicians are playing music - square dance calls included. It's nothing fancy, but it's certainly intended to be a fun break from all the recent strangeness. They'll even be keeping the ghosts out for the duration of the evening!

Until midnight, that is. Then the party will have an unexpected guest...

Here's where all your partying happens.

Summer, dressed in a witch costume (based off a Mismagius, at that), is hanging by the maze with a cup of apple cider. Pichu got a teeny jester hat and neck ruffle, and is having far too much fun going through said maze.

There's a relatively unenthusiastic flower fairy heading your way, Summer. ~~The only thing Naoto liked about this costume was that the fairies had been kind enough to include a leg holster for her gun.~~

She inclines her head in greeting as she walks over to Summer. "Evening."

"Evening to you, too." Summer is pretty happy with her costume. She has her goggles on under the hat, and her styler is on her right wrist as always. It took her some debate to decide against wearing her scarf.

Her Pichu jumps up on top of a maze wall to squeak and wave in greeting.

[A: Party]

Red could be found at the party, now dressed up in the clothes he had received from the kind faeries. Everyone else (well, mostly everyone, apparently!) had done the same, so why not join in the fun?

He was around the food table or chatting with random people, maybe even getting a dance out of a native or two- certainly, he was not expert, but he was having fun enough and he was laughing more than not.

Approach? Or be around for Red to approach?

[B: Outside the party, around the Idol Springs camp]

The party was fun, but there was some very special company that Red couldn't just forget about or put to the back of his mind for the night.

The camp itself had a few people there, people come from the party or just relaxing by a fire that was usually set up once it got dark. Red was to the side of the camp, and while it might've been a little dark to see him, the light of the tail of a certain presence with him made it likely to spot him (and all the other bundle of strange looking creatures).

You're not likely to creep up on them unexpectedly (these ears are rather alert to any and all sounds), but there won't be any issue if you come up to them. Well, the charizard/orange looking dragon thing might give you a not-so-friendly looking face...

It might've been easy to tell what Red was doing with them though,or if you had seen him walk off from the party table with a selection of foods. What a cheeky guy.

Minako is so ready for this party! She's been wearing her costume all day, and arrives at the party super early to get the fun started! She's still new in Avalar as well, so she's hoping to make new friends and get more adjusted to the place. She can be found buzzing about the buffet and snacking, playing every single game or introducing herself to new friends at every turn!

Later on in the night she'll have left her bag of stuff over by a table for safekeeping and will be dancing around to the music with gusto. Square dancing is fun! She's left her evoker in her bag for the night- it didn't really fit in with her costume and she had been told the party would be protected from the mischeif makers that had been lurking around.

Seito was the complete opposite of Minako's enthusiasm, not that that was much of a surprise. Where her costume was bright and vibrant, his was dark and somber, much like his usual expression. His looked like that of a Victorian gentleman, complete was cravat and perfectly pressed vest and slacks, with a silky cape. The vest and interior of the cape where a dark, shimmering silver, while the rest of the costume was black. It looked like whatever fairy had delivered his costume wanted him to look like the perfect gentleman... until he opened his mouth, and letting the fangs be seen.

He was watching Minako from a distance, waiting for the right moment to make his presence known. He was taking his time with her; he wanted to make sure he could keep her entangled in his manipulation for as long as he could... or for good, but he wouldn't get his hopes up with how disastrous Kou had ended up. At least she was lighter than him; much easier for him to lift her up if he needed to...

Seito waited until her back was to him before he slipped out of the shadows, like the stereotypical vampire he was dressed up as. He slipped behind her, waiting just a moment, before murmuring softly:

"Your costume looks good on you, Minako-chan."

The sound of a voice startled her for a moment, but she barely showed any visible bristling. Self control was something she had when it was called for. As soon as she recognized the voice as Seito's, she laughed and pushed him a little, teasingly.

"Going around trying to frighten innocent girls, Seito-kun?" She was teasing, as usual, but she did stop to pose a little. "I am a pretty cute sprite, huh?" She giggled playfully and took a step back to admire her friend's costume, totally unaware of it's true irony, but amused that he seems to be acting in character for it.

"The suit's a good look for you," she decided. "Vampire?"

He offered her a smirk in response, letting the fangs he had been given to go with the costume be seen.

"Innocent?" he echoed, sounding amused. "I thought the word was supposed to be mischievous?"

"Ooo, scary" she teased, admiring the fangs. They were actually quite quality, and looked like he could talk and eat with them and everything. She bounced on the balls of her feet, looking thoughtful.

"Well I guess you have me there... but look how cute and innocent I am!" See? She's illustrating it with a totally innocent face. Aren't you convinced?

He stared a moment, at a loss for how to respond. Seito found himself doing that a lot when she was involved; it seemed like a lot of things she did or said just... threw him for a loop. It wasn't like it was with Rise... weird.

"Innocent enough to eat," he finally replied teasingly, showing off his fangs.

She can just hold that look for as long as it takes him to find a response. He seemed a little perkier today, which she was glad about. No headaches! But also she wasn't used to him having to think about what to say before responding. Oh well. She was acting a bit more hyper today than usual. He might not be used to the Full Arisato Pep yet.

"Oh nooooo!" She feigned distress, a hand to her chest and her wrist turned on her forehead. "Someone save me from the dark creature!" Halloween was fun.

He just isn't used to people so full of life period, but he's good at faking. Even if he doesn't completely understand why she's the way she is, it doesn't keep Seito from grasping the wrist at her forehead. He pulled it close to his mouth, a mock wicked little grin on his face.

"There's no one here to save you..." he teased.

She's fighting back serious giggles by now, biting her lip and having to cover her face with her free hand.

"It's hopeless! I shall be lost to the thirsts of the devil's son!" And with a mischievous little grin of her own she throws herself into his arms in a pretend swoon. Too forward? Eh. She's drunk on party and socializing and teasing. It seemed like a good idea!

Seito let out a surprised noise as he caught her, wrapping his arms around her and holding her close out of reflex. W-whoa... what was he supposed to do with this? Even Rise would just cling to his arm all the time, not... throw herself at him.

...h-he could feel his face getting hot. What. What. What.

It takes her a moment to get her footing again after launching at him. She's still laughing a bit breathlessly, but she clings back when he holds her. She hoped that was a sign that her sudden movement was a welcome one, but his silence worried her.

"Sorry! I think I got a bit carried away..." She knows she can go overboard on the flirting... but his arms are around her, so she doesn't try to move away. And his suit was soft material so she was pretty comfortable there. She'll look up at him searching for a reaction, though.

...the fact that his face was almost entirely red wasn't enough of a reaction? Seito managed to catch himself enough to shake his head, trying to pull himself back together.

"N-no... it..."

...words?!

"I-it's okay."

She can't see all of his face! ... mostly the underside of his chin. She's short and he's tall, okay? But she can see some of the red spreading there and it leaves a warm satisfied feeling in her chest. Mr. srs face is reacting! And in a good way!

Aww and he's blubbering! "What happened to that seductive vampire I was talking to a minute ago? He seems to have vanished..." So much tease, wow. She's even surprising herself. She'll blame it on the encouraging blushing and the cider. Sugar highs, man, can't control herself.

Seito did not even know how he should respond; what did guys normally do in this situation? He tried to wrack his brain, but he couldn't think of anything. She was being really forward... was it okay for him to do the same?

...

Why was he even thinking about what would be okay or not?! Just who was manipulating who here!?

It took him a moment to pull himself together as he held onto her (why wasn't she trying to get away from him?), before he leaned close. That serious look was back on his face, though it was almost... smoky? Sexy? He wasn't exactly the seductive type, but Rise always looked like she melted when he gave her that look, so...

"Maybe that's just what I wanted you to think..." he murmured softly.

She certainly wouldn't say she was trying to manipulate anyone! But in some ways her social-link focused charm could be seen that way. Still, she's got a pretty smug look on her face by the time he's done collecting himself.

Just what was he thinking about? Was she really taking him that aback by being so forward? Oops? Her insides did to a little bit of a flip when he gave her that look, but Minako took it more as a challenge then anything else.

"Nah, I think you're just a dork," And she kisses his nose playfully.

...and once again Seito was thrown for a loop. What? Why? Hunh?! He turned a bit pink at that again, his arms around her absently tightening. Just... what; how was he supposed to respond to this? Should he... kiss her? Maybe nip at her neck?

"Dork, hunh...?" he murmured back, finding himself leaning closer to her...

His blushing made her giggle again and she squirms a bit in his grip. Not in a getting-away sort of way, but she can't hold all her energy in! She's too excited and giggly to keep from wiggling triumphantly at having the upper hand.

"Yup, big ol' dork," She doesn't move away when he leans in closer, but she's not going to take every initiative for him. How would she know for sure he wants her to?

She's not really going to turn off the bedroom eyes, though.

She still wasn't pulling away and he didn't get it. They hadn't had much time to interact before now... had he really left that kind of impression on her? Enough where flirting this openly was okay?

...ah, what the hell, he'd figure it out later.

Seito let his lips brush against hers, almost inviting, almost teasing... before he drifted down, letting his fangs brush against her neck before giving her a playful nip.

Well, no, they hadn't interacted much yet, but Minako has a very good feel for these things, and she can tell when someone wants to be closer to her. She can also tell when someone's interested, and she had been getting both of those vibes!

She probably wouldn't have gotten this forward this fast if he hadn't shown up during a party. Social gatherings were like mind altering drugs for her. She was high on lala-land and just the thought of any kind of intimacy was like a druggie being offered more. And hey, she's getting good reactions so her gamble is paying off.

She closes her eyes, expecting a full on kiss, but being perfectly amused at his choice to tease. How fun. The nip to her neck made her squeal and giggle though.

"Oh no, you got me. I shouldn't have let my guard down."

Seito chuckled faintly against her neck, giving her a squeeze. Funny... it felt nice holding her; she was nice and warm, so full of life. He had not experienced that since... since he was five...

He had to pull away from her then, feeling a weird sensation in his chest. It... hurt, and he could not understand why. Still, he could hide his discomfort well enough, offering her a smirk.

"You're all mine now..."
