Welcoming Festival

It's pretty amazing what magic can put together on short notice. Where tranquil forest stood just hours ago, there's now the obvious signs of a party—and it's all for the people who just got here! Hopefully everyone's dried off by now so they won't catch any chills! Strung up among the trees are paper lanterns glowing lightly and illuminating the area. There's food from all sorts of places set up on tables among the trees, and games are scattered about, with citizens of other worlds manning them. There's also a bonfire in a clearing away from the trees, if you want to get away from all the hustle and bustle… but why wander away? Have fun and socialize, after all, Avalar is your new home!

[Marie had to walk just about everywhere back home so it's not like she minds.]

Ah... The same place, then. [Though he knows it's unlikely you've ever met Bebe so he won't mention that.] I'm from Japan. Iwatodai, specifically.

Funny how these little coincidences happen, huh? [She chuckles, but then frowns a bit.]

... I hope Mother, Raphael, and Charlie are all right. Mother's probably going to be worried sick...

[He nods in response, but then your concerns jump-start his own. Home... If he's here, what about the Great Seal? Is home being destroyed while he sits here getting used to being alive again.]

...I really shouldn't be here. I have something important to do back home. [His worries pile on quickly, like the weight of the entire world is sitting on him. SEES and everyone else...will they be okay? If Nyx breaks free, will he be able to get back in time to fix this mess?

Hero duties? [Because oh boy, that's certainly something she's rather familiar with.]

One of my friends back home had just saved Paris only a day or two ago. [... She kind of feels bad for already having lost track of the days.]

[There's a quick exhale that might have been a laugh at that.]

I's been a long time since I've seen any of my friends. I can't say exactly how long it's been. A long time. [He's sightly sad, but not upset by this.]

Well... maybe they'll end up coming here. We can always hope, at least... right?

Mmm... Yeah, maybe they will. I'd like to see them again, though... [He smiles, a ghost of a laugh escaping his lips.] ...they'd probably be really surprised to see me. It's been a long time.
