Two boys and their Pokémon
Who: Enzan (
warlord_of_aurora) and Red (
aftermtsilver)
What: oh hey I met you over a stone thingy majiggy once
Where: Glimmer
When: 12th October, 2013
Warnings: None.
Exploring was one of the priorities for Red since arriving in Avalar. It felt like an unusual activity to his body, if only because of how long it had been since he'd moved from anything but the same paths along the same snowy mountain. Not that it couldn't be adventurous at times when the weather would get unpredictable and the pokémon feistier, but everything had become largely familiar in those years. It wasn't unwelcome- maybe this would be a change that was needed for him, one that he was unaware of.
The days felt too short for how much there was to be seen- but that was fine, since they were going to be there for a while, it seemed. Red only learnt (somewhat embarrassingly) the access to more locations, and he was itching to see what to make of them. Still, he felt there was plenty more to explore about the places that he knew of. Making known of what there was free would be good, at least the trainer thought so; he lived off what existed already, so there was no need for now to be any different. Sunrise Spring had turned out to be good for all those fruit trees everywhere.
What interested him in a visit to Glimmer was the apparent sports fields there. Wide and open areas could be good. How big were they?
He was in no real rush, however, to get to any certain place. He had plans for later on, but travel was made easy for him with his charizard and the transport she provided him. The fire pokémon was tucked away inside her belt for that visit though, and Red walked through the location accompanied by two other pokemon - Pikachu and Espeon.
Espeon took a lead as she usually did, with Pikachu perched on his shoulder with a curious eye at all that could be seen. They may have looked casual, but they were two of Red's most aware pokémon of their surroundings and what was nearby. A pokémon who felt change and could predict the future and a pokémon who kept alert to sounds.
And there would be some certain figures for them to notice on this day out. Now- where might they be?

Pichu hopped out of the way with a laugh, once again running off with Eevee behind her. Following them at a slower pace, Enzan couldn't keep the smile off of his face while Dratini only watched his fellow Pokemon play, perfectly content with staying by the warlord's side.

The distance between them wasn't so far apart, and the trainer was stopped in his tracks prematurely in his walk - thanks, Espeon. That earned the psychic pokémon a look of her own, but then the noise of fun and games reached even his ears, and he looked towards the pathway they came, catching the sight of a figure trailing behind them. He's not too sure who he's looking at at first, but oh, didn't those three pokémon look familiar...?
no subject
"Eevee," the Normal-type made a head nod gesture to Red and his Pokemon, Pichu finally taking notice of them there. Enzan and Dratini noticed them as well, "Red?"
no subject
He found his feet again and moved forward a step closer to the walord. Pikachu lowered down his arm at the sight of the two, holding on at the crook of his arm and waving out to the two below with a "Pikachu!", then followed with a look of greeting to the Dratini.
Espeon was more quiet, sitting herself down at a spot near to her trainer but far enough to make herself more welcome to approach - perhaps. She was fond of making herself give off a questionable air as to what she would appreciate, silent stare and all towards the two closer to her level.

Dratini trills a greeting to Pikachu while Pichu waved her arm enthusiasticly up at him. Eevee was the one to approach Espeon, stopping a few inches from her and gave a short "Vee," as a hello.

At that Red lowers, if only because he's in the company of more than just Enzan and Dratini. He kneels, Pikacu jumping off of his arm and onto the ground on two feet, moving up an arm up again with a cheerful chirp to the Pichu, with the intention of introducing himself. For Espeon, she takes a different approach to her greeting- giving a hello back through thoughts and keeping her mouth closed. Just to see how Eevee reacts.
Red observes them all, seeing he'll have to wait to say hi himself. So he looks up to Enzan and asks, "What're you all going to do now? Fancy some extra company?"

Eevee's ears twitched and he went a little rigid. His brown eyes locked on to Espeon, having not expected the telepathic response. Pichu was delighted at having another of her species around and wasted no time in trying to strike up a conversation.
no subject
Pikachu had no problem with starting a conversation, a back and forth likely to begin between the two. And as that went on-
"Sure. I wanted to check this place out more. Knowing where the shops are will be a plus."
no subject
He turns to Pichu and Eevee, "Guys, come on. You can talk while we walk to town."
Pichu makes a short series of "Chu, pi," as if to say "Yeah, yeah," but started moving. Eevee's wasn't as flippant, and he responded to Espeon with a soft, polite coo to tell her no harm had been done.
no subject
And Red was also not a minder of walking and talking, getting right into it as soon as they began. "Thanks for the help you gave me when I first got here, by the way. You know, all the info and stuff. I'm still figuring the place out, but I think it prepared me - 'specially when meeting another me," he adds with a small laugh.

Pichu started asking the other Pokemon about the kind of battles they've been in, curious to see if they were different from the other Pikachu's stories. Dratini also trilled his interest in the subject as well, moving away from Enzan to join the small group.
"Have you been adjusting to this place well enough?"
no subject
"Yeah. It hasn't been a problem, actually," Red responds. As he speaks, he moves his hands much as Pikachu does below them. "I thought being on a mountain for so long would make me rough on travelling, but it's been easy to get into. There's so much to see around here."
But saying all that prompts Red to ask, "How was it when you got here? Are you into travelling?"
no subject
Enzan's smile became a little strained and shrunk down, "There.. were a lot less people here when I got here. And I don't really have the luxury to travel for pleasure purposes back home, not with the war going on."
no subject
Noticing Enzan's expression had changed, Red turned down his own energy a notch, though the mention of war would have probably done that anyway. "War?"
The only times Red had ever really heard about war was in books, living a blissful life to it. It was peculiar to hear somebody say they were- or had been- living through one.
no subject
Enzan nods his head, "Yeah. I was originally fighting to protect my kingdom, but now I'm fighting to unite Ransei and meet the Legendary Pokemon that was the reason for the war."

But he looks at Enzan then, making an apologetic face. "Sorry to hear about that though- your land, I mean, and the war. Don't know what that's like. Must be tough."
no subject
It's not like people were dying, oh no. But there was still the crushing weight of responsibility and the fact that ambitions seemed to be destroying the bonds between people and Pokemon.
"It's not too bad; I have people like Oichi helping me."
no subject
"Yeah? Who are they? A friend?"
no subject
He can't help but smile when he talks about Oichi.
no subject
"I get that- I had my friend Leaf with me when I started off my travels. Not the same, but." He shrugs, and then with a wave of his hand adds, "Oh yeah, but it's not the same Leaf that's here if you know her. Different girl. Kinda like with me and the other Red."
He continues, "But she helped me out a lot. I haven't seen her in years... but I guess the sooner we can get back, the sooner we can see them again. A war's probably an important thing to get back to, too."
no subject
They eventually reach town and Pichu makes a happy sound. Enzan makes a small gesture with his hand, "Here we are."
no subject
"Do you live here too?"
no subject
Pichu begins waving her arms ecstatically and starts telling Pikachu about the town. Dratini and Eevee both shake their heads fondly at how excitable she always was.
